We will build a task feature that allows admins/managers/coaches to create tasks for others with due dates, status, etc.

Currently you can assign athletes and leads to a coach using the ‘tag’ functionality.

I posted this idea a couple years ago and haven't seen much action. I think most boxes would agree that a majority of their memberships come from referrals. In fact we have gone the last 3 years without any deals or promotions and we continue to grow just off of referrals alone. It would really be nice to reward members to encourage more of this. I think this is a big piece of the puzzle that Wodify needs to put into action to help boxes grow their business. Referral athletes also have a much higher retention rate than those who come in on discounts and promotions!

I was reading through a lot of the comments and feedback for a referral program and I just wanted the video regarding Wodifys current ability to reward referrals.

With Wodifys current method it seems to take a lot of work to go in and set up a new membership plan. It seems that most gyms reward athletes in a couple different ways. They offer reward dollars or free month/s depending on the referrals.

A solution to all of these I think would be this: If an athlete referrers a member, that member would then put who referred them in their profile when signing up. The system would then automatically apply the discount set by the affiliate to the referring members next months bill. For example:

If I referred Jo, Jo would put my name in the "referring athlete" box when he signs up. Wodify would then automatically apply that discount to my next months bill depending on the discount the affiliate set up. I would think referring dollars would work the best with the option to set them up for recurring months.

    Here are some options:

    1. You reward each athlete who referees someone X dollars off their next months bill.
    2. You reward each athlete who referees someone X dollars off their next bill and each month after as long as that athlete is a member. For example: I refer an athlete and the affiliate rewards me with $20 off each month that athlete is active. I refer another athlete and now I get another $20 off my membership... and so on. If someone I referred cancels, I would lose $20 off my membership dues and so on... Having this ability would save the affiliate a lot of time sense they woulndn't have to go in and set up a new membership every time an athlete referred someone and with option (2), athletes would be more inclined to make sure their friends stick with it so they can continue to get their discount, potentially leading up to a free membership if they refer and keep enough of their referrals. Then those referrals do the same and so on and so on. This could exponentially expand the affiliates membership base!!

Some good ideas in there, but given that there is currently a workable solution for this I’m not sure when it will be prioritized. Of course this is subject to happen sooner should it get voted up in priority.

I think one good way would be to add it in the "My Journal" section. Athletes could add their goals and ask a coach to review them just as they can with the food journal. Then coaches could respond to those goals.

But it would be nice if when an athlete signs up for a membership wodify would require the athlete to fill a goal section out. That way coaches can help those athletes achieve their goals or offer advise on how they can do this from day 1.

Maybe even have questions with yes/no answers. For example:
Do you want to lose weight? yes/no
Do you want to gain wiehgt? yes/no
Do you want to gain strength? yes/no
When do you want to achieve this by? _______
What other goals do you have? __________
    Etc.... etc....

It would be great if there was a section for athletes to add their goals when they sign up for a membership. It could even automatically send those goals to the head coach or other coaches when it has been filled out so they can help athletes achieve those goals. Maybe have specific questions already filled out that the athlete can check or just a section to write goals. For example: I would like to lose weight and gain muscle.
Also coaches could respond to those goals. For example If an athlete has a goal of wanting to lose 50 lbs in 3 months, maybe a coach could respond by giving a more realistic approach to that goal etc...
Actually it might be nice to have this section in the "My Journal" tab with the food journal only it would still require you fill this out when signing up.

How about making a "My Goals" tab like you have the "My Nutrition Journal" tab?

Athletes could right down what their goals are in a list with a check box next to it. When they accomplish a goal they can check the box and Wodify would recognize them with a gold ribbon and post to their FB if they wanted saying "John Smith accomplished his goal of 10 Double Unders today.

Athletes could also request a review from a coach just like the Food Journal allows. For instance if I made it a goal to get 1 Muscle up and requested my coach to review it, the coach would know that I wanted help accomplishing this! Coaches could also comment and or add goals to an athletes list.

Also it would be great to be able to add something to an athletes goal list. For example, if you noticed today that John Smith was having trouble squatting, you could make a note in his goals to work on his squats.

We will definitely look to address the concept of differentiating between scaling options rather than just an overall ‘scaled’. Unfortunately for many workouts there are multiple variations for scaling each movement (ie instead of pullups they did ring rows, or used a green band, or a red band, etc)… or they did the pullups Rx and scaled the weight or movement.

Ultimately for many workouts it adds more complexity for the athletes. That being said, we are making changes to the performance tracking side in the near future and they may touch on this topic.

Hey Sean, as far as security, you could give the athlete the option of letting others see this info using privacy settings so they could show/hide their info.
