Whiteboard Changes to Make Community Friendly
Allow affiliates the option of letting their members make their scores private and allow the option of not having a ranking on the whiteboard. Just a list of everyone, instead of a ranking of 1 through whatever.
Community is a major part of crossfit and having scores appear in a 1 through 10 type ranking system does not promote that ideal. The competitive part will always be there. We don't need a "ranking" to add to it. Think about these individuals who put in effort everyday, only to have the system make them feel less about their work in the gym. Allow affiliates the ability to let members decide if they want to make their score private or at least not appear with a ranking next to their name.

If a person doesn't want their score to show, they can simply not enter it. Or they can enter it as a custom WOD instead of the class WOD. Everyone knows what everyone else's capabilities are anyway. We know which athletes will Rx the WOD in the best times and which ones will have to scale to the max. We don't need the whiteboard figure that out. It is nice to know, though, if you did as well or better than someone who is usually ahead of you and vice-versa, when you don't do as well as someone who is usually behind you. It's a great way for an athlete to know whether he/she needs to work more on a particular area.

Would like you to re-visit giving affiliates control over the whiteboard...affiliates choose to either turn it off, randomly "rank" or alpha "rank."
